Abstract

Today's experiments are abstract in nature. I have a couple more designs in this same group that aren't quite ready yet. I think they might need some type. I like the energy that comes from the sharp angles, and repeating lines. But it still feels like another layer of information (through type) would strengthen them.

I've been drawing inspiration from the Flaming Lips recently. I want to recreate the energy and emotion that they create in their songs, without lifting words directly. I want to retranslate the experience into different images and words.
